Diane Aristarco Fujimoto

Diane FujimotoOriginally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, I graduated from Philadelphia College of Textiles & Sciences with a degree in Textile Design. After working in the New York City textile market for 10 years, life’s practical plan took over the artistic one, leading to my present career in vaccine sales. A major life change occurred in 1995 when I met my husband and moved from the East Coast to the San Francisco Bay Area. Although I continue to enjoy my career in sales, I am thrilled to have a paintbrush back in my hand, the blank canvas in front of me and creative desire in my head.

Beginning with a watercolor class under the guidance of Oneida Hammond in 2000, my artistic instincts grew with an even greater passion. My inspirations come from everywhere: from the beauty of the world right outside my front door, the people in my life, to the wonderful places I’ve seen in my travels. I continue to take workshops and classes when time permits and I continue to learn a great deal from my fellow artists in our weekly studio sessions. I am forever grateful for the continued support and encouragement of my family and friends, who inspire me to keep my paintbrush moving.
